A rocky journey still

Since my last entry, roughly two weeks ago, I've applied for 16 jobs and had posted my professional website all over craigslist, leading me to multiple design offers that weren't really all that great. Despite applying for 16 jobs, I didn't hear back from like 99.9% of them. Though, I did get a reply back for a job that'll enable me to work at the World Famous(!) San Diego Zoo. The job is like $1 above minimum wage and it's a part time gig, but it's still a job! One I'm hoping I can keep for more than 4 or 8 months, unless something better comes along. It'll be retail experience for me, which will look good on my resume. You know how job experience is really important to have even if the job is practically a no-brainer anyway.

Since it's a part time job and with little pay, I'm hoping I can use my extra time for other things, like working on my books and stories. I'm not sure yet. First I have to see how the work flow is and how tiring it makes me after 5 hours. That could take a month or two to adjust. So, we'll see. Tomorrow is my first shift, only 2 hours because I'll just be shadowing and getting a sense for how we operate at the booth. 

Still no car! I'm not really at all sure what's going on there. My mom's too nervous to call our neighbor and find out what kind of arrangements have been made, which really bug me because I really want to know. But, my mom doesn't want to push his buttons because he's a pretty temper-mental guy.  

Keeping my head up as best I can! It's not easy.
