You want to make a Flash Dress Up Game?But you're not entirely familiar with Flash? WELL FEAR NOT! Deviantart supplies A VAST AMOUNT OF TUTORIALS from people who know and have some fair amount of understanding of what to do.
So I'll help you get started by supplying some information and also recommending a couple very nice and informative tutorials about Flash. Plus don't be discouraged if you suck at drawing in Flash, I provided a fair amount of information for an alternative solution at the end!  
What you need:
- Flash* (any kind of Flash where you can write Action Script 2.0... NOT Action Script 3.0, these tutorials cover AS 2.0)
- Time
- Patience
*If you're wondering what kind of Flash I use, I'll tell you. I use a super old school Flash that does the job juuust fine. It's called Macromedia Flash MX, also known as "Flash 6.0 r25" Yuuuup, really old. I've had it since junior year in high school (approx. 5 years). I have Flash Professional CS5, and it looks pretty much the same as Flash 6, so don't worry.

Hey everyone, I'm not dead! Here's a flash game I made for one of my classes. The requirements were that it had to be educational, first and foremost, drag-and-drop, and have sounds for when players get stuff right or wrong. The sounds were user-submitted freeware sounds, meaning anyone can use them, so don't report me for copyright infringement!

I learned a lot about AS3 in the process of making this game. :B Who knows, maybe I'll expand it in the future with like levels and shit, lol.

I hope you enjoy it! The game does something "special" when you complete it. ;)

(I also lol at the fact that basically none of my original designs for this game were even used...)


//INSTRUCTIONS//

This game is a Drag and Drop game.

In order to play it, you must drag the items from the inventory onto the gods inside the Parthenon!

Hover your mouse over any single god and you will get a special HINT to help you out.

This game challenges your knowledge to associate imagery to each of the Twelve Olympians of Greek Mythology.

Good luck and I hope you have fun and/or learn a few things!

//CREDITS//

This game was created for an Internet Design course at a university in the Fall of 2011.

Imagery of the gods were drawn and assembled in Photoshop CS5 and were based off of artist renditions of each god. Each god was colored with artistic license.

Inventory items and background were all hand-drawn in Photoshop CS5.

Sound effects were found on FlashKit.com, a website that offers freeware Flash files and sound effects.

Some sounds were recorded.

I have no idea why. Sometimes it's more of a weird Flash bug and nothing to do with my coding, honestly. When I see an issue, I just refresh the page and try again. :(

I keep press ing PLAY GAME
but it just keeps taking me back to the Main Menu.

Maybe you're pressing Play Game too soon (like while it's still fading in). :XD: Let the beginning music finish and then try clicking it and see if it's still glitching. It shouldn't be doing that, I haven't made any changes and no one else has reported that glitch.
